An essential step towards constructing the ambitious Vivid on Malvern development has been completed. The existing buildings on the site had to be demolished to make way for Head Contractor – AG Construct to deliver this curvaceous 9 level mixed use development comprising of 48 apartments.
On a complicated site located on a major intersection and surrounded by high voltage and Yarra Trams cables AG Construct were presented with the challenging task to manage the demolition of 3 buildings – safely and within budget.
After negotiations with Yarra Trams, United Energy, Vic Roads, Stonnington Council and the building Surveyor AG Construct were able to conquer this challenge by wrapping the existing building facades with protective screening and demolishing the existing structures from within safely.
